Why are Viet people so harsh on each other when it comes to speaking English?
"What are you talking about?" Some may ask. I'm talking about how looking at some of the previous post on this Page, you can see a lot of people who bully others for trying something new? Why is that? Why is one's first reaction to someone who's the same ethnicity as them speaking a different language is hatred and wanting to lower that person's self-esteem? Why?
Isn't the point of majoring in English is practising it, to get better?
If it's not on your reading skills then they'll aim for your writing skills, if it's not your writing skills then they'll aim for your listening - speaking skills. Why? Why are we so mean to each other?
Because from my personal experience, a lot of Europeans, Americans or other Asians aren't like that. And sometimes even THEY make mistakes. Example: My boyfriend who's Australian, makes more mistakes than me! And he's a native speaker!
So. What I'm saying here is, if anyone is making fun of your English not being good enough, remember that sometimes, native speakers mess it up too, like how they use "you're" and "your".
(Also the people who bully you just because you're bettering yourself are LOSSSERRRSSSS, or what I like to call in Spanish "puta" :>
